FAQ

Curious about eSIM? Here are the answers.
What is eSIM?
eSIM (embedded SIM) is a SIM card that is built into the device.
Therefore, it can be used simultaneously with the existing physical SIM card, allowing the use of two phone numbers on a single device.
I want to know which devices support eSIM.
If you press *#06# in the phone app and the EID is displayed, it means that the device supports eSIM.
For detailed information, please refer to the esimtour.com website → How to Use → Supported Devices page.
How can I check if my phone is SIM locked?
Here are the steps to check if your phone is SIM locked:
1. iPhone: Go to Settings → General → About → Carrier Lock. You will be able to see if your iPhone is SIM locked.
2. Android: For Samsung Galaxy phones, unfortunately, SIM lock status cannot be checked directly on the device.
However, for other Android phones, you can go to Device Information → SIM Manager → SIM Status to check the SIM lock status.
Please note that the specific menu names and locations may vary slightly depending on the device model and software version.
Can it be set up in advance in Japan?
It is possible to set up in Japan.
Even if it is indicated as not activatable during the initial setup, there is no problem.
How do I install an eSIM?
The installation method for eSIM is detailed in the manual file that we send after purchase.
You can also check it on the simtour.com website under the "Usage Guide" section.
I scanned the QR code after purchase, but the installation is not working.
1. Scanning the QR code with a camera app will not install it.
Please use the ""Add eSIM"" option.
2. Check if you are connected to a network (Wi-Fi, LTE, 5G, etc.). In such cases, it may show ""No network connection.""
3. If it shows ""eSIM not found"" or ""Cannot activate,"" please first check if the country lock and carrier lock are released.
If all locks are released and installation still fails, please contact the seller immediately.
What happens when I delete an eSIM?
When you delete an eSIM, it cannot be reinstalled, and it becomes unusable.
Please be aware that even if you accidentally delete it, there will be no cancellation or refund.
Is tethering possible?
Devices that support tethering are eligible for use.
What should I do after I have finished using it?
Please delete the eSIM that is set on the device.
